Illuminati 2G

4/16/07: We do alot of shows and meet alot of people. I enjoy putting my heart and soul into our show, then watching people like KRS rip stages after us. It is empowering as much as it is inspiring. Sites like Illuminati 2G provide people with a platform to be heard as much as providing a outlet for people to have access to the Information Revolution and I hella appreciate that. So I write for cats hungry to get on their music grind and maybe lack info. on how to go about doing things. Before all of that, is the foundation, the art, the craft, THE MOVEMENT.

I remember doing a sold out show with Lupe Fiasco and one of the groups before us did all radio beats,using other peoples hooks and making them their own. Or how about the Latin Rap Conference when I performed, only to see one of the headliners lip synching his whole set. Yeah, his songs sounded effortless, true...but lacked any sense of being a real MC !  After seeing KRS-One again, it was nice to see someone truly rip it with charisma and knowledge..yes, I said Knowledge.

I write all of this because there are so many MC's out there, all putting their energy into their craft, but what is lacking often times is originality. What happened to biters getting dissed and a time when you had to research your name to make sure no one else had it before you decided to make it your own. People use to know their history and respect the OG's in this but cats these days be so hungry, that they do whatever they can to get on. No matter what, your heart and dedication will always prevail, thus enabeling you to improve and develop your niche in the music game....

I will bring more for you as time goes on. In our next discussion, maybe we will talk about more Industry based info., or personal experiences.....hit me up and let me know what you feeling....peace and blessings worldwide...
