Young Dade, Coach and Sage Lee make up the group M.O.E. and took time from their promo tour to speak with I2G. We discuss their new album, Road To Riches, in stores now, and their new single, B.E.S.T. and much more so check it out.

Illuminati 2G is here with M.O.E. how's it going?

Good man, good to be here.

For those unfamiliar with your music, tell me a little bit about how you got your start and how you guys came together as a group.

We have been knowing each other for over 10 years now, and we have been working together for about 6 years now. We all come from music backgrounds and we all got together and decided that we could do what everyone else is doing, if not better. We know that there is enough room out there for everyone to succeed, but we are confident in our talent. We decided to come together and form the group, M.O.E., and we got in the studio right away and started knocking songs out and we were vibing and it came together.

Tell me about your new album, Road To Riches.

The name of the album comes from the fact that it is basically a journey for us as a group. In other words, one of our songs, the title track, is basically saying that we all are on a road. Riches may or may not happen, and it does not always mean money for everyone, but being that our name is M.O.E., which is Money Over Everything, money is of importance. The road to riches in and of itself could be anything. Whatever your goals may be or whatever you are trying to accomplish in life, we all feel like we are on that road. From album sales to whatever it is that you want to do. That is the name of the album because that is how we feel, in everything that we do, we are on that road and journey. We just thought that it was a good concept to go with the album.

Do you have any guest appearances, producers?

We have IT, O Dog and Radio. These artists are all proteges of the label, C.E.O. Records. We do not have any outside features and as far as production, we produced and wrote the album ourselves. It is all in house right now.

Tell me about the new single B.E.S.T. from the album.

Ok. The new single as you said is called B.E.S.T. and we are getting alot of radio play with that on the southeast part of the country. It is currently available for purchase on Amazon, Rhapsody and Itunes. Shouts out to North Carolina and Augusta, Florida, all the stations that are playing the record right now. We appreciate it and we gonna keep it moving, but we got alot of singles on the album. B.E.S.T. is just one of them, but we have alot of radio friendly records. The album is also catered to the ladies and we have street records as well. Yeah definitely pick up the album, in stores now.

So what is next now for you now that the album is done? Do you have any videos picked out or have to started work on the next album?

We are right now promoting the album and we have started work on the next album as well. Once we tie up some things with the label, we will put out the video for the next single. The album is hard, you can't deny it and once you hear it, you will rock to it.

You guys have any upcoming shows or tour dates?

We do have some shows coming up but I am not sure on the actual dates. I know one is coming up in Detroit and definitely the cities that are playing the record right now, like Augusta and in North Carolina, and the southeast, we are definitely gonna be hitting those places up. We have already started to do some things in Atlanta, so slowly but surely we are moving the album and we have a heavy online campaign. Shouts out to Trea Davenport, our publicist, she is doing alot of good things for us. From city to city, show to show, we gonna keep grinding till we are international. So the people just need to be prepared.
