Check out I2G’s exclusive interview with Higher Balance Music.

I2G is here with Higher Balance Music, how’s it going?

Beeisthefuture -its going great actually

Rummie Abiff – Everything is positive.

Tell me a little bit about how you got your start in music and who are some of your musical influence.

Rummie Abiff – My start in music came from my parents. From my father blasting Tupac, Scarface, Ice Cube etc. To my mother listening to everyone from Prince to Sting, my influences are all over the place. More personally; Lil Wayne and Curren$y have always been my biggest influences.

Beeisthefuture – My start in music was very organic. I was always inspired by music since a kid and i had family that did music which increased my interest in wanting to record.

Do you have any upcoming albums getting ready to release?

Rummie Abiff – Live Real Die Cool dropped back in March, so we’ve just been riding that vibe. We’ve always created on our own and have had our own separate growths as artist. So we’ve got a lot of very exciting things planned.

Beeisthefuture – Yea soon we’ll both be dropping our solos so be looking for that

Do you have any more upcoming videos?

Beeisthefuture – Yes we have a few videos we plotting on now

What are your current thoughts on the music industry?

Beeisthefuture – They need us right now. I mean its not that everything sucks right now i just feel as though anyone can create any lane. This culture of music that me and rummie created doesn’t sound like anything you’ve heard before in your life. Its a brand new feeling.

Rummie Abiff – I feel like certain agendas are bring pushed. Facades are being idolized rather than truths, and I can’t fuck with that shit. There’s a lot of talent out there and a lot of great music, I just want more people telling the truth.

What is currently playing on your playlist musically?

Rummie Abiff – Of course Hov, a lot of underground artist, & some local new orleans artist as well. Lately I’ve been steering away from hip hop though, leaning more towards R&b, Neo Soul, and a little bit of Reggae. Soulful shit.

Beeisthefuture – Yeah I’m on that new Hov. That and some others. I be playing James Pants sometimes.

Do you have any shows or tour dates?

Rummie Abiff – We’ve got some things working in New Orleans, Atlanta, & Texas. We’ll have dates as they approach.
