What's the word people, D-Marc back with another Illuminati 2G interview. Young Severe is a local up and coming rapper from my block, West Las Vegas. He is 15 so he has got a long, promising career ahead of him. He took time to chop game with me about his musical influences, his upcoming mixtape in July, his label and much more to sit back and enjoy.

D- Tell me about yourself, your musical influences and when did you start rapping.

YS- Well I was born here in Vegas, and was raised on MLK and WASHINGTON my stomping grounds and I kicked alot around Doolittle but as far as my rap influences? really I didnt have any till now which is Lil Wayne and myself lol, but I started rappin when I was 10 so, I've been here for a minute.

D- Damn, that is right down the street from where I grew up J and Owens. How did you come up with the name Young Severe?

YS- Well my name was Yung E which I got from my boy Young Tay but I found out It was taken so I wanted something different. So I thought about it and I came up wit Severe kuz thats how I feel when I rate myself in the game. 

D- How did you get down with Top Notch Entertainment?

YS- Well Top Notch ENT is actually my label, but its just temporary, Im a $$Young Balla$$ boy Y.B.E. 

D- Shouts out to Tha Land Lord and YBE. Doing big things in the Veg right now. If you could describe your style what would it be?

YS- (Laughs) you know what, I would say Fly but Ill leave that to my homie Flyboy mook. But as far as describing my style, I would say slick, I use alot of punchlines, and I like to battle alot now so im pretty versatile.

D- Are you currently working on a mixtape or album and when will it be dropping?

YS- Yeah i'm working on my Second mixtape/DVD which will drop on July 30, my birthday, then I'll go into album mode and murder that. 

D- What's your thoughts on the music scene out in Las Vegas?

YS- Well I think truthfully, were an All star team because everybody has there own style and flow so yeah I would say we doin things big.
